The single-tube 909S has more power potential than the twin-tube model as the tube has a larger diameter, allowing for more space around the valve and a heavier hammer. 909S and 909 are very accurate rifles and respond well to power increases. The following s a typical power tune (9095) for hunting designed to give three powerful shots, and an equally powerful follow-up shot. These velocity tests were performed using round ball ammo off one 3000 psi of pressure, muzzle 15 feet from the chronograph. The power tune consists of all new or modified internals, full trigger job, reamed leadle as needed (on newer models), and an unbreakable cocking handle.
